Appointment Cancellation
We know your time is valuable and we diligently try to stay on schedule. On some occasions, emergencies do occur and appointment schedules may be altered. We will inform you as soon as possible should this happen. Your understanding is greatly appreciated. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please give our office 24-hours notice, as we have a long waiting list and wish to accommodate everyone as fairly as we possibly can. If you do not give us 24 hours notice there will be a $35 no show fee.
The offices are generally open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. After 5:00 p.m. during the week, on weekends, and on holidays, the answering service will take messages and relay them to the physician on-call. This service should be utilized only for urgent problems that need resolution prior to the next scheduled work day.
Prescriptions and Renewals
If you need renewals of your current prescriptions, please call the office during normal working hours at least two weeks in advance. Please do not wait until you are out of medication before calling. Emergency requests for prescription refills after hours and on weekends will be limited.
You can call in your prescription renewal request any time, 7 days a week. Prescriptions will be filled by the next business day.
No pain or headache medications will be prescribed at nights or on weekends. If you are in sufficient pain that you need medication, then you will need to go to the emergency room to be evaluated.
If you have any questions concerning your condition, medication, or treatment, please call the office during normal working hours. Our staff will take messages for nurses or providers who will return your call as soon as possible.
If you call to speak with a provider, and a nurse returns your call, don't be surprised. We have great nurses! Be assured our nurses communicate thoroughly and frequently with our neurologists and are able to provide accurate information to our patients. Before returning your call, our nurses will have first spoken with your provider (or covering provider).
Emergencies
Our office provides coverage 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week. If you have an urgent problem, please call the office for instructions. If you call after normal working hours, our answering service will take a message and contact the on-call physician. Please keep your telephone line free while waiting for an emergency return call and turn off caller ID or our MDs cannot return your call. Please understand the physician is on call for emergencies only. Please confine all non-urgent calls to office hours, including prescription refills.

Payment Policy
We hope you understand that our credit and collection policies are a necessary part of assuring the financial resources needed to maintain our practice.
Charges for medical services are due and payable at the time services are rendered. In the event that other arrangements are made beforehand, a bill will be sent to you with payment due upon receipt of the bill.
If you have a health insurance plan other than those in which we participate, please understand your health insurance policy is an agreement between you and your health insurance company. Your doctor's bill is an agreement between you and your doctor. As a courtesy, we will bill non participating insurance companies. However, you are responsible for payment of what is not covered.
If circumstances should make it impossible for you to meet our credit term, we invite you to call or personally discuss this matter with our billing office. This will avoid misunderstandings and enable you to keep your account in good standing. Except when hardship warrants otherwise, past due accounts are referred to a collection agency.
If you have any questions, please contact our office.
